  • MarcoAtlarge:

  • davidchevysucks:

    nice. shes beautiful

  • RenzeZielman:

Why would it be struggling with 5 legs at just over a foot of working depth ? My 50hp tractor is struggling with a heavy 11 tine cultivator at 1 foot depth ! Which is still child’s play for this IH

the only problem with the magnum powershift is that the park break locks up real easy

  • RenzeZielman:

IH had the Magnum powershift ready at the time of the takeover by Case. Case had just developed the CTA8.3 engine with Cummins. They combined the best of both in the Magnum.

    shit thats pretty bad ass

  • blackrim01:

we cultivate w/ our 2wd 5488 dually, pulls the cultivator like a hot knife thru butter, theres so much spare power!

230 HP! That thing sends chills up my spine with how it sounds and looks! My little cub cadet IH 782′s have nothing on that big guy! Check out my videos, plan on making more soon. Again great video!!!!

  • NerfLord14:

It dyno’s about 230hp. It has about 3500 hours on it now. The subsoiler doesn’t pull it very hard at all.

  • 123electricman:

i always felt if IH had built these 10 years sooner , they still might be in the tractor business

  • 3cx71:

sweet ih engine tune nice tractor you got there good vid.

  • HemiHotRod:

Thats a beautifull tractor and a gorgeous piece of property you have there.
I think you need a larger toolbar to benefit from that tractors potential though. With the cost of fuel being so high, every pass counts.
    Thanks for sharing.

We live in Casey County about 3 1/2 hours south of Louisville

  • ihbowen:

Larue County, 1 hour South of Louisville

  • RenzeZielman:

    24 inch is 60 cm…
I rip with a 5245 Zetor and 3 shank ripper at 50 cm with ease. When going deeper, I’m loosing traction right before the dirt hits the frame rails on the better spots. In the worse spots, with iron ore in it, it works hard at 70 cm.

That 180 hp tractor, on our soil, needs a 9 shank ripper to make those horses running.

  • LynnFarms:

What part of the ky state do you live in

  • bkpigs:

It looks like you are deep enough, but maybe could use two more shanks on each side of the ripper to use the tractor to its fullest. Great lookin trator by the way.

  • stx450:

Put that thing in the ground man you just motoring with it or your ground is loose enough you dont need it man i put 250 on its knees in my ground @ 24 inches

  • ClassicTVFan82:

This tractor was produced from 1981-85 and it uses the DTI-466B diesel rated 185 HP at the shaft and 164 DHP (drawbar HP).
