Never crank an engine with your thumb wrapped around the crank like that. If the engine is out of timing and kicks back , it will break your thumb . Cup your fingers and thumb around the crank.
Nice video, i live in ireland, theres not so many Cubs where i live. I own an ‘A’ shes been sitting in th back of the shed for around ten years now. My dad tell me that she runs well, so once i finish fixing my Allis im starting on her. Do any of u guys stateside know of any companies that sell replacement Bonnets??
well, i figured out how to crank properly, thanks for the advice, and the throttle was too low, she dont like that…I have the tractor figured now, runs great

Jeeeeze, I have a cub and when the throttle is set right and it’ll fire up on the first crank. Mine does have electric start but I prefer handcranking
I thought they were a 9 horse because I got a cub myself
